Our mission is to celebrate, support and promote the endeavors of local artists, business leaders, community organizers, and anybody dedicated to making Belfast a better place in which to live, work and play. Specifically, Belfast Alive! reaches its goals by employing the following:

 

A. GOOD MORNING PRODUCTIONS: This is the multi-media component of Belfast Alive! We produce, distribute, and manage a variety of media products that promote local clients through these initiatives:

Television Program: Good Morning, Belfast! community TV show is produced and hosted by George and Kristin Frangoulis. This weekly program features and celebrates people of Belfast and Waldo County. Podcast: We create and publish regular podcasts, These are conversations with area business leaders and luminaries, a variety of artists, and with community visionaries and organizers featured on Good Morning, Belfast! TV show. www.GuestStarPodcast.online

 

Print Publication: We also publish and distribute a print newsletter, Village Voices Community Journal. This provides readers with excerpted interviews of Good Morning, Belfast! guests, and it contains promotions for local clients. www.VillageVoices.online

 

Digital & Outdoor Media: Further, for example. we manage websites and social media platforms. We create and manage “Window on Poetry,” a rotating billboard that is placed on Belfast Free Library’s front window, which features local Maine poets. Underwriters and sponsors are also shown on our websites.

 

B. REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCES: Our experienced and knowledgeable staff supports and promotes all the local arts, cultural enterprises, our creative economy, as well as the area’s businesses.

 

Kristin Frangoulis is co-director of Belfast Alive! and is an acclaimed fine artist, poet, theatrical playwright, director and actor. She is also producer and host of Good Morning, Belfast! television “Arts by the Bay” segment, as well as WBFY FM community radio’s “Poetry by the Bay” show. She was founder and director of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Players children’s theater, which was an outreach program she ran for several years.

 

George Frangoulis is the founder and co-director of Belfast Alive! He has owned and operated many businesses, including Farmstead Magazine. He and Kristin also served on the team to launch WBFY FM’s community radio station. As a result, he has extensive entrepreneurial, business management and executive experience.

 

George has also worked with a variety of Mid-coast Maine clients through the Belfast branch of SCORE as a Certified SCORE Mentor. He serves as Mentor for the Maine Center for Entrepreneurs’ TOP GUN program, as well as for MEC’s Cultivator program, which assists Maine food, beverage and agricultural-based businesses.

 

C. BUSINESS-WISE: George’s current undertaking is as the Founder and CEO of Business Wise, a professional consulting and marketing agency. He offers strategic advice for clients by helping them focus on their enterprise’s most critical needs, which may include the following:

 

     1. Creating and controlling quality production and distribution;

     2. Advertising and promoting their products and services;

     3. Providing long-term customer and member support;

     4. Developing business, financial and marketing plans;

     5. Establishing human resource policies and procedures.
